I've been wondering about this component for a long time now. Everytime I search on the Internet to try and find out about what it is exactly, I always end up more confused than before. I sometimes install it, I sometimes don't; but I can't figure out whether it's better to do ir or not.

So, does anyone know what it is? What's its purpose?

I think (Really not sure about it) that is has something to do with AMD TrueAudio.

Yeah, I've just bumped into some information claiming it's a necessary component to make True Audio work with Mantle compatible games. I've installed it this time and I'll do some tests. Next time I won't install it and I'll try the same games to see whether this is true or not.

It IS for AMD's TrueAudio...the ACP stands for Audio Control Panel.
