In August 15 I posted a warning:

http://answers.microsoft.com/de-de/wind ... 1473bd3828

English
Pay attention upgrading Lenovo T500/Radeon 3650 to W10
Upgrade works fine but finally the screen is black and still remaines black even trying everything! There is no chance for a downgrade.
In my case fortunately Teamviewer was installed and started. Remote downgrading was possible.

Today I tried upgrade again with result black screen like before. So I had to work from remote Laptop again. But now I could install the new driver and without restart the screen suddenly was visible!

It's resolved and I will post this in the other forum.

Thank you so much, Wagnard! :D

Dear Wagnard

@normanio: did you upgrade from 8.1 to 10 or performed a clean install? no, from win 7.

BTW, which AV are you using? HD 4870

Try disabling AV until system restart. By the looks of it, CCC app is installed with corrupted settings and could likely cause these issue.

1.Run DDU in safe mode w/ networking and reboot into normal windows startup. How was this done in win 10, can teach me.
2.Run ccleaner to clear out garbage and also make a backup of registry to clean out the registry(if possible) using CCleaner. done
3.reboot and install AMD Crimson or 15.7.1 WHQL.] done

but the issue same

I'm having the same problem as Lenrage, I have manually installed the 15.200.1046 driver and in my devices I then go from the Microsoft basic display adapter to a radeon mobility HD 4830 driver but oddly when i do to the properties and look at the device status it say that the device is not working properly. I try to install the CCC and it says that there is nothing to control? I have once manually installed the 13-1 legacy driver for the HD 4830 mobility card I have on my laptop (a 2009 envy 15, a 720q processor, 12gb ram, newly running windows 10, ect. if you need more info please let me know i'll post it) and the ccc after the manual install. Everything worked, dual screens, proper choices of screen resolutions, but I then restarted and I got the video tdr failure... sometime along those lines or the atikpg... I can't remember, but basically blue screen of death and I have to go into safe mode and restore to get back. please help. I was using the 13-1 legacy driver on windows 7 with the ccc that went with it and it worked fine. I'm enjoying windows 10 for certain features and would just like to get my extended screens working again.

I've been suffering with my Lenovo Thinkpad L512, it has an ATI HD 4500 series embedded GPU, I upgraded to Win10 x64 and now I have no Catalyst Control Centre, just a display driver provided by Microsoft, it works but I feel my GPU isn't providing as much power as it should.
trying the driver shared on this site I found my laptop's maximum screen res was about 1100width, UNACCEPTABLE!

oh well, have to use Microsoft for now I guess, and I have a similar issue on a Sony Viao 13.3" S series laptop
======================
EDIT
======================
after booting into safemode and running DDU plus AMDutility uninstaller, reinstalling CCC, it.... it seems to be running perfect now! :)
Device Manager NOW shows my Display Device as AMD Mobility Radeon HD 4500/5100,
Carmageddon Reincarnation still lags though :D

Downloaded the x86 software. Currently, the Dell Inspirion 5303, Win10, HD4550 card. Device manager shows ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series but no driver is installed. Installed the AMC Catalyst Control center, but get error message there is no AMD graphics driver, then the control center cannot be started & can't be configured.
Pointed the update driver to the folder with the x86 software, neither .inf file works.

So what now?

Fixed issue for the AMD Radeon HD4550 driver.
Used the 13.9 catalyst driver exe. Installed it in compatibility mode for win7. Drivers installed correctly.

This driver will work for 2xxx,3xxx,4xxx, and other legacy AMD graphic cards

@normanio or anyone owning HD 4xxx cards.
Did you really install 15.x drivers and managed to get CCC running under Windows 10?

I just upgraded from 8.1 and was unpleasantly surprised the card isn't supported beyond the microsoft driver.
The latest 13.x catalyst drivers cannot install under W10.
So what's the story here?

The PC in question is on a remote site so I won't be able to test this further anytime soon.

Thanks!

edit: ok i take that back. I was able to install the driver by manually upgrading through the device manager using the extracted drivers from 13.4 package; lastly had to use DDU to clean up and reinstall 13.4 without drivers; voila catalyst control panel works :D
Question remains whether it's possible to upgrade to newer 15.x drivers?

Lenrage wrote:I manually installed the drivers and they work fine Under Windows 10. But the CCC is installing but when I try to go in the configuration to activate the Crossfire, It doesn t work. I have 2 graphic cards HD 4870X2 and I want to use them in crossfire mode

I says that there is no device to start CCC

Any ideas why CCC does not work Under theres version of driver
It feels as if the driver for the cards were not actually really installed. I would check device manager to be sure.

Hi, first, sorry for my english ...

I have a laptop : Dell Studio 1737 // Windows 10 64 bits // ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650

It seems that there is no driver for this video card. In fact, windows installed a driver :

But, very often, my card is crashing (black screen a few seconds). Then, the display is coming back, but

Your driver (page 1) is ok for me ?
Just have to run the "ccc2_install.exe" ?
I already have Catalyst Pro center V 2013.0424.1225.20315

Thanks for your help.
