Quite a noob question

Post by Randulv »

As I've used AMD / Integrated / AMD on successive systems for the past ... 13 years or so, I'm not exactly sure on this.

I'm switching from AMD > Nvidia for the first time since 2004 and I want to make sure everything's peachy. Do I use standard uninstall procedure (Add & Remove Hardware) and THEN use DDU, or do I just open up DDU and choose the Remove & Shutdown and I'm good to install the new card?

I tried searching this topic but no results, although a few guides mention both procedures, either both or just using DDU, I wanted to get an official word.

Thanks!

Both are working, but I personally made DDU so that it is not necessary to uninstall the driver before using DDU.
