Thanks a lot, Wagnard! :)

Regarding, false positives; I can now confirm that Windows Defender on Windows 10 does not target the exe as a threat anymore ;)

Cheers!

Aww what happened to the self extracting 7z archive format? I was really enjoying that. It was smaller too.

EDIT: Never mind, I saw your note in the guru3d thread.

Hello.

I've used in the past your app a few times on modern OS and CPUs with no problems.

Now, I had to use it on Win XP SP3+ with an AthlonXP and a Radeon 3650 AGP with latest legacy drivers 14.4, but unfortunately it crashed.

Actually, PAExec crashed with an error message "PAExec Application has encountered a problem...".

I tried both Normal boot and Safe Mode but the result was the same.

I read an older post that you advised to check the host system by running standalone paexec -i -s "ddu.exe"

That method worked with paexec v1.26, but unfortunately only in Normal Boot not Safe Mode.

So, I tried that type of uninstall from Normal Boot and a lot of "garbage" left behind that I discovered later when I installed an older driver 12.1

Windows told me during installation that a newer file is already installed and if I wanted to replace it.

So, after all these details, what do I have to do in order for latest DDU 15.4.1.1 to work on my system and hopefully uninstall both installations (remains of 14.4 and 12.1) ?

Thanks!

I honestly do not know why paexec crash on your system.
Its been en a while since I changed anything in paexec.
so you remember a version of DDU that worked before on the same system?
also if so, check if it's still work and report the last working version to me.

for the left and overs after cleaning, send me the ddu logs
xp and that card is very old, so I don't usually test theses.

It's the first time running the app in this system.
It's been a long time since my first use on XP.

If there is no other solution I could go with a "trial and error" method with the old versions.

I think the version of PAExec that you use is older than the latest v1.26, I think is v1.24 but i'm not sure.

I have the two logs created by the app.

How do you want them to send you ?
