After running this program, no programs start up

After running this program in safe mode, none of my programs start up anymore, and all my windows settings appear to be gone... (I use to be able to log in with my 4 digit passcode, now its making me use my full password)
looks like at this point im going to have to do a full windows wipe.... not sure wtf happened.

This is highly abnormal.
Send me the DDU log at [email protected]

Also check if the computer is simply not stuck into a safemode. It may look normal mode but it could be in a safemode.

also provide a screenshot of what you have there : [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\option]

Uhh, where is the log stored, I kind of deleted everything..... -,-
and the furthest I can get is [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\] I dont see any \option

and it appears im not in safe-mode

The DDU log is inside the DDU folder.
But if you have deleted it, I'm afraid I cant help a lot.

Since you don't have the "Option" it means its not the Hybrid safemode I was thinking.

Honestly I dont know what to say as you are the first user since I made DDU public who got that kind of problems after using DDU.

I tend to think it was more a coincidence or maybe you have a special application that interfere with DDU.
For example , There was a protection program from Avast I think that made run some application in some sort of SandBoxes and this one was really messing things up things when run with DDU. So DDU must always be excluded of antivirus and such security software.

What are your security software you use?

Thanks, I have looked at the log and everything is normal.
No DDU error on the log and all stuff removed belong to nVidia.
So what really happened to your computer is a mystery...

Anyhow sorry for what happened.

no problem man, after a few restarts everything went back to normal. But hey, you can't perdict what will happen with the thousands of hardware configs out. Still a good program! did not solve my problem though

(Nvidia experance says it cant connect to Nvidia)

I had the same Issue with DDU,
used Windows 10x64 with an Asus Z170 Deluxe Mainboard, i7 6700k, 1TB Samsung 850 Pro SSD and 32GB DDR4 Memory. But I had pagefile setting to off, maybe it came due to this?

I booted into safemode, and was not ABLE to LOGIN with my password anymore.

Password did not work anymore.
Had complete to delete my WIndows 10 and reinstall it.

What could cause these problem?

maybe because pagefile deactived?

Maybe but I doubt it, but 1 thing i'm sure of, is that it is impossible for DDU to mess with the window password. Could be that the wrong keyboard language was set at that moment that changed some letter / special characters.

no its hanging in the safemode, I tested it on 2 PCs yet.

I had to insert the Windows 10x64 Installation USB Stick and it asked me if I want to reinstall or upgrade, I have chosen upgrade and reboot, then the safemode worked and I could login and DDU started too in the "correct" safemode.

Seems there is a bug.

If I find the time I can make a Video on this on a 3rd PC too if you want.
