Recommended usage:
-You MUST disconnect your internet or completely block Windows Update when running DDU until you have re-installed your new drivers.
-DDU should be used when having a problem uninstalling / installing a driver or when switching GPU brand.
-DDU should not be used every time you install a new driver unless you know what you are doing.
-DDU will not work on network drive. Please install in a local drive (C:, D: or else).
-The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best.
-If you are using DDU in normal mode, Clean, reboot, clean again, reboot.
-Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe).
-It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues.
Note: If you have issues for downloading the file, it could be one of your extension interfering with our hotlink protection.

Here is an application from 1 of my partner that we recommend.
It is a useful tool that may help you update outdated drivers.

Can you fix/add rule to cleanup cui_dch removal of older intel dch drivers? It seems its not been removed by DDU and now locked with Trusted Installer permission. I used Linux to delete that file and now Rapr shows that deleted driver is still present in win driver store file repository folder.
I'll put a screenshot in few hours since I'm using other PC.
Also, can you integrate a regtweak to add Dithering for nvidia dGPU connected to external monitor/TV/projector which fixes washed out colors. For 4 years I thought it was the problem of TV but now its working fine! Here is the source of regedit: https://github.com/CHEF-KOCH/regtweaks/ ... /Dithering

EDIT:
One more thing, uninstalling intel DCH driver using control panel or settings app causes this issue whereas running DDU to clean them up doesn't leave a trace of any inf files.

OK thanks I'll check that up.

For the infs, are you saying day are all getting deleted by ddu? If that's the case, I'll need the logs that you saw that happening at [email protected]

If all intel gpu inf were deleted I wouldn't have complained at all! UWD drivers are messy for now!
I'm saying if you uninstall DCH driver using control panel, cui_dch.inf is left behind after using DDU. If I use DDU directly in safe mode, all intel gpu driver remnants are removed safely.

Ok I understand now ;) Will see how to fix this.

For now DCH driver users must use SSU directly in safe mode and not uninstall through control panel or settings app

I have already tested a working fix for this in the next version of DDU. So user can DDU even after a remove via control panel or settings app.
I hope to make a new DDU release this weekend.

That's really good to hear!
I'll ask a fellow user of alienware 13 r3 OLED who has blackscreen whilst Intel gpu is uninstalled using DDU and only full system reset brings back the display.

He probably wasn't in safe mode if he blackscrened.

Here is a release candidate for v18.0.0.8 , should fix the Intel DCH stuff.
