DDU help

Post by kt53 »

Greetings:

I have a Lenovo ideapad Y700 15ISK with both Intel (integrated) and NVIDIA graphic cards, and Windows 10 Home - Version 1809 Build 17763.437

Before using DDU, the driver store explorer showed that there were 34 old NVIDIA drivers (version 21.21.13.6909) totaling 13.32GB on my system, and the current driver was version 22.21.13.8205.

I used the DDU in safe mode and administrator privileges to uninstall NVIDIA/driver store old drivers.

Then I installed NVIDIA driver version 22.21.13.8264 (382.64) as recommended by Lenovo.

Starting DDU after the installation of the new driver, the 4th option - Removing "GeForce Experience" display driver installer cache/files - was not available. So, I uninstalled the GeForce Experience and deleted the Installer2 folder manually.

Also, the driver store shows that the old 34X drivers are gone, but there is no increase in free disk space. Since then (4/27/19) I have deleted two restore points to force Windows to forget and discard the old drivers, but there is no increase in free disk space yet.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
KT.
