Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) V16.1.0.1 Released.
ChangeLog:
-Fixed GPU Name identification on launch for some driver version.
-Fixed SharedDlls removal.
-Fixed the (alternate) AMD environement path cleanUP that was broken recently.
-General code fixes / enhancements (SetupAPI)
Important note: Most of these change wouldn't have been possible without the help of a fantastic coder: "devmltk"
SHA1: 2D84B7EE3D6CF72AA090D87D37832236FB3EB598
Recommended usage:
-The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best.
-
Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe).
-It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues.

Hi there,
I'd like to report an error with v16.1.0.1 that does not occur in earlier versions.
I have an AMD r9 290 and when using the uninstaller in safe mode it takes a long time and then gives BSOD "Whea Uncorrectable Error"
Reverting to 16.1.0.0 had no such problems.
Thanks

Sorry I bisected wrong.
I will track down where the issue occurs whenever I get time.
It occurs after the message ""Scanning for new device..."" in the log at least.

Can you retest a few time to be absolutely sure it doesn't happen with the previous version. Also test a few time with latest to see if it reoccur.

Sorry, I have retested and it does occur on earlier versions.
I now know how to make it reoccur consistently now.
I will track down when the issue was introduced whenever I get time.

Also, if you have an overclock on your system, remove it temporarly to rule this out as the "whea_uncorrectable_error" is typical from a bad overclock.
also, if you have a ".dmp" that was generated, feel free to share it with me and ill debug it.

The button does this:
It add a value of 1 to "SearchOrderConfig" in the registry location: Hkey_localmachine_software\microsoft\currentversion\driversearching
When using DDU to clean, it set the value to 0
This is of course if the value exits to begin with...
