edit: I fixed the bastard
ran ultrasearch (my search tool of choice) looked for nvcplui found it it in :
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\NVIDIACorp.NVIDIAControlPanel_8.1.956.0_x64__56jybvy8sckqj
copied it to C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation and ran it, the license window came up but with no text in it clicked continue and then ran the normal control panel and no license screen. finally nvidia knows ive agreed to the license although technically I havn't cos there was no text ;)

Hi,
Glad you fixed it, while the fix is a bit weird, as long as it work I guess that's ok.

Was it the DCH driver you had installed?

445.75 WHQL game ready drive I assume thats dch
edit: yes dch (i did even try the studio driver but that had the same problem)

The reason I used ddu in the first place :
as soon as i click on surround spanning options and the put a tick in the span displays with surround in nvidia control panel
the control panel disappears.
This appears in event viewer :

More info :
if i run the copy of nvcplui (the nvidia control panel) I can set up surround no problem
the problem must lie (imho) with the folder C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\NVIDIACorp.NVIDIAControlPanel_8.1.956.0_x64__56jybvy8sckqj
maybe a permissions issue ??
