Boot into safemode

2. I just tried again to boot into safe mode. I have installed the latest version of DDU but I have never successfully booted into safemode under windows 10. The last time I waited and my pc shutoff (I shift+click restart and chose to troubleshoot and load into safemode). The first time I tried I had to cold boot 2 or 3 times before the problem fixed itself.
I'm not actually wanting to uninstall right now I was just checking my shortcuts work because I changed the drive where I keep my less used program files. I heard you can power off your PC in the middle of boot twice and then u can get to safe mode, but I never tried this and probably never, there should be an F8.
