ISLC has seemingly locked my pc's ram at half.
Title. Installed this off a recommendation from a post to help optimize a game. Pretty standard settings from what I've seen across this forum and others, it didn't have the wanted effect so I stopped using it. I went to play other games and found I now have a CONSTANT stutter no matter what. My FPS never drops and my pc's resource usage is minimal, but my ram usage is stuck at exactly 47% no matter what. I'm guessing it is somehow capped at that now, and is constantly stuttering because it can't go any higher. I have tried uninstalling ISLC completely, I have tried different settings, of course reset my PC and other things, no fix. This issue arose only after using ISLC

ISLC does not do anything permanent if its not running and you removed it, there is no effect left. If you have problem now, its either your configuration or hardware. ISLC doesn't change anything related to memory when it's not running.coolbeans42700 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 2:13 am Title. Installed this off a recommendation from a post to help optimize a game. It sounds like ISLC might have altered some system settings. Try checking your pagefile size and ensure it's set to system-managed. You can also use a RAM diagnostic tool to check for issues. Hopefully, this helps resolve the problem!

Reread (from Wagnard)
-We know nothing about the PC (Processor, amount of RAM, graphics card, etc.)ISLC does not do anything permanent if its not running and you removed it, there is no effect left. -Nothing is known about the Windows version
-We don't know what game it is.

It is not clear what the user did with the PC, Windows settings etc
The user does not make an analysis but an observation
Only Amiga.. Was possible

Check for ISLC Remnants:
Registry Cleanup: Use a reliable registry cleaner (e.g., CCleaner, Wise Registry Cleaner) to scan for and remove any leftover ISLC entries.
AppData and Program Files: Manually check the AppData and Program Files directories for any remaining ISLC folders or files. If found, delete them.
Verify Driver Updates:
GPU Drivers: Ensure your graphics card drivers are up-to-date. Outdated drivers can sometimes conflict with system optimizations.
Chipset Drivers: Update your motherboard's chipset drivers as well.
Disable Superfetch and Prefetch:
These Windows features can sometimes interfere with performance optimization tools. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue.
Check for Malware or Viruses:
Run a full system scan using a reputable antivirus software to rule out any malicious software that might be causing the problem.
Clean Boot:
Perform a clean boot to isolate the issue. This involves temporarily disabling all non-essential startup programs and services to see if the stuttering persists.
System Restore Point:
If you have a recent system restore point created before installing ISLC, try reverting to it. This might resolve the issue without reinstalling Windows.
Reinstall Windows (Last Resort):
If none of the above methods work, consider reinstalling Windows as a last resort. This will ensure a clean slate and eliminate any potential underlying issues.
