PC won't display after using DDU and changing GPU

Post by RonaldCMickel »

Hi,

I used DDU to remove the GPU driver (choose "clean and shutdown" to prepare to change the card), then changed from 1650 Super to 3060 Ti, the computer won't display, the case light also doesn't turn on. Reattached 1650 Super and still the same.

Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks

Hi,
If you don't see anything after swapping the card and even returning to the old one, this is a hardware issue.
Either you broke something on the board after the switch or your computer may require a CMOS/ BIOS reset. There is a jumper for that.

Just to remove any doubt about DDU work, if DDU was responsible for something, it could only break a Windows installation. It is technically not possible for it to prevent display before loading windows , so you should be able to see your bios and even windows trying to load. If you don't see that, it's hardware related.
Check everything, don't forget the power cable to the card.
