Hi.

My setup:
Win 8.1 Pro X64
Nvidia Quadro P2000 GPU with Nvidia HD Audio (over DP).
Monitor NEC EA245WMi-2

After using DDU (recent version 18.0.0.7) I can't get Nvidia HD Audio to work again.
The driver 416.78 installs without any issues. GPU works as expected.
However, Nvidia HD Audio displays code 10 - Operation failed. The requested operation was unsuccessful, after rebooting the system while finishing the fresh driver installation. Nothing changes after consequent reboots.

Any idea how to get it back to work?

Everything was working fine before using DDU (in safe mode, of course).

Meanwhile I'll do some test with a quadro I have to see if I can repro.

You can also try a system restore (ddu make a restore point if the service is enabled) to go back to. A working state

Another possible solution would be to use this version instead: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1316

Aftrer trying 18.0.0.4, Nvidia HD Audio won't even install while using "express settings" in the installer.

Even worse: it broke the driver from my addon USB PCIe controller - code 43

EDIT:
As for the USB controller - It turns out the controller itself has benn rendered "unusabe", not the driver.
Powercycling the system fixed the USB issue.

System restore point saved my day - make sure it isn't disabled.

Preliminary conclusion after testing:

18.0.0.4 is safer to use for Quadro.

The issues described in the previous post don't appear when using 18.0.0.4 on a "unbroken" installation in the first place.
The odd behavior being observed is due 18.0.0.7 causing issues that 18.0.0.4 can't recover from.

Huge thanks, I already fixed a little big in 18.0.0.7 in a function and will be reorganizing some of the cleanup functions.
I'll probably send a you a beta for testing later.
