I could use the previous version of DDU to successfully remove the drivers that got installed automatically through Windows Update after having performed a clean install of Windows 10 build 10166, and before installing Catalyst 15.7. Do you recommend me to repeat the operation with 15.3.1.0?

Nah, the thing that were left over are minor and shouldn't affect anything. Its more for the "cleaning syndrome" that some may have

Guys, I've only one question: Is DDU safe to use on desktops & lappies equipped with AMD APU's? Will it have adverse effects, for example clearing out AMD chipset drivers accidentally.

It should be safe. bht to be on the safe side, I always recommend you do a backup or a system restore point.

I always perform a registry backup and system restore point just in case somethings goes wrong.
