Unable to install any driver after DDU

Hi,
thanks so much for your tool! I messed things up....
In short:
- nvidia drive updates updates failed
- used DDU in safe-mode
- now even windows update doesn't install drivers. The error:

The logs:
Will send per mail to [email protected], hope that's ok. The middle/2nd one should be the relevant one.
My Setup:
- windows 10 (latest update)
- Some 5yo Dell XPS Laptop
- Has Intel onboard and an Nvidia 960M
Longer story of what happened:
1. driver installed, all dandy
2. all nvidia tools refused to install or uninstall anything ("Failed" or "Not Installed" was the usual error)
3. Nvidia did manage to uninstall the driver (for "clean install")
4. Device Manager/Windows update was capable of uninstalling and installing drivers at will (just a bit older versions)
5. used DDU in safe-mode
6. Same errors with nvidia installers (tried "vanilla", "gforce experience" and OEM packaged)
7. Noticed card without drivers has a different name now in Device Manager ("3D Video Controller"), was something different and shorter before.
8. windows update shows the error shown above
- don't know when exactly and if that wasn't like that before: nvidia card doesn't show up as "high performance" card in the windows settings, even when the drivers are installed
What I tried after that:
- restore points: thought I had them, but don't
- uninstalling all nvidia: only physx left, purged it with revo uninstaller, probably quite unclean. But this was after step 8 above
- removing nvidia logs from the registry (nvidia help page wants you to do that)
- installing any way in safe-mode
- installing driver from unpacked nvidia installer
- disabeling the nvidia card in the bios: no option for that
- running DDU again not in safe-mode (the 3rd log)
- last resort would be reinstalling windows, but I'm trying to avoid just that...
