About timer resolution...

Post by sdsfsd »

Why doesn't Microsoft force 0.5 instead of 1 in games if it's better? Well, "better" I'd say considering there are barely any benchmarks, but still on paper better

1 of the reason is battery usage for mobile / laptop devices.

Right, didn't think about that one. I don't need the ram thing, how can I set 0.5 without using ISLC? (or any other tool like Set Timer Resolution)

Really? No registry changes or something? how this thing work lol

If I wanted to lower timer resolution from 1 to 0.5 myself I would have to make my own tool?

I know. What if I wanted to lower it to 0.5 "with my own hands" is what I was asking.

You can't, it is done by calling a win32 api.

The timertool guy asks money for the v2, free version (1.2) is buggy. And another is from 2015.

can you make one? Yeah I'm begging

EDIT: Well the one from 2015 just works fine, but not gonna lie I trust you more considering how famous you are for both DDU and ISLC

Timer Resolution is a compelling application for Windows that arranges the resolution of your PC to improve the user's gaming experience. It is absolutely free to use and it provides the user with the most suitable resolution every time. As a gamer, you won't be pissed about latency and the FPS drops.
