Recommended usage:

-You MUST disconnect your internet or completely block Windows Update when running DDU until you have re-installed your new drivers.
-DDU should be used when having a problem uninstalling / installing a driver or when switching GPU brand.
-DDU should not be used every time you install a new driver unless you know what you are doing.
-DDU will not work on network drive. Please install in a local drive (C:, D: or else).
-The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best.
-If you are using DDU in normal mode, Clean, reboot, clean again, reboot.
-Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe).
-It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues.
Note: If you have issues for downloading the file, it could be one of your extension interfering with our hotlink protection.

Portable is usually a self-contained package that can run without being installed on the computer. It is typically distributed as a compressed archive (such as .zip or .7z)

The Installer, is the usual setup, next,next install thing and usually come with an uninstall in the add/remove program. It does add stuff to the registry.

not a direct DDU problem at all, but i used changedetection to constantly pull this link viewforum.php?f=5 with a css filter to get a news about the new release of DDU.
now you put a cloudflare anti bot protection on your site and my bot constantly can't access your site and forum.
it would be great if you can add a simple "latest.json" link for guys like me to parse and download the latest version of the software.

I'm testing this currently has there are some IPs that are hammering the site many times per/minutes and that was kinda anoying.
If you want, you can send me an email with the your IP and I could add an exception for yours if it's not hammering the site.

Another solution and probably the best one would be for you to get this txt file from my site https://www.wagnardsoft.com/DDU/currentversion2.txt
It's containing the current version of DDU and is excluded from the anti bot protection.
