It would be personally catastrophic for me if it had a keylogger or something similar embedded in it, so before running it I wanted to check with this community. I've downloaded the extraction file and scanned with Kaspersky but wanted to double-check.

For reference, I'm looking at the installer version from the wagnardsoft forums:

Thank you
There is nothing weird included with DDU. It just do it's job.
If you have sensitive information I recommend that you backup your stuff just to be on the safe side. Usually there is no problem, but we are never sure at 100%

Hello, Wagnard, been using DDU for quite some time, and this is my 1st time making account in this forum, but I dont know how to create a post so thinking of joining this one since I have similar topic

You see, I have been using DDU ver 18.0.7.7 since its release and haven't update it to the latest version because I found no problem so I think I just need to stay on that version

But when I try to check the file safety in VirusTotal, yesterday, and click the reanalyze, two detections showed up

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/ff2 ... 37f304d17e

It detected as Win.Virus.Pioneer by ClamAV and Google says Detected

Do you think this is false positive or something ?
It didnt happen before I clicked reanalyze, so 4 months ago scan all showed clean result

Thankyou

DDU does a lot of thing that can cause false positive with av. If you only have 2 positive on a list of 60+ av you have a false positive.

Also, I really recommend you update as there are important fixes for new driver added sometimes.
