AMD drivers to NVIDIA

Post by idedermis »

I'm not going to change my AMD drivers to NVIDIA or anything. I'm likely hiding and lingering old driver files from a very long time ago because I haven't updated my drivers in a very long time and haven't formatted in a very long time. Can I use DDU to remove all driver-related files from the initial installation and then install the most recent Nvidia drivers? Perhaps even making some storage available?

Yes, DDU remove previously installed driver even if it was from a different manufacturer.
Like if you have an AMD cord installed at the moment, you can still ask DDU to clean NVIDIA to remove previously installed NVIDIA driver.
But if you are doing so, I would suggest maybe to untick the removal of the Vulkan runtime because it remove it for both.
