Is DDU necessary?

Post by DarylJohnson »

I just bought a rx 7600.The gpu I've been using is gt1030.Solitaire I just get to know that you need to uninstall previous drivers with ddu.Is it necessary? If I skip the ddu part and directly plug in my gpu will there be any issue?

It's not strictly necessary.
What you can do is try without using DDU, f all is good than fine. But if you notice some issues, you can still use DDU to remove the driver of the old card even if the GPU is not present anymore.
