Re: Call of duty that kept crashing
Did you use latest 18.0.9.2 ?
Are you stuck on login screen in safe mode ?
Here is some tips that may help :
You must boot with the DVD/USB (Windows installation disk) in recovery with Command prompt OR restart the computer (not the reset button) and HOLD THE SHIFT KEY until you have the advanced option menu and the option to boot with a Command prompt and type :
bcdedit /deletevalue {default} safeboot
* Replace "default" with the identifier of your operation system. (can be seen when you run bcdedit)

I've gotten stuck in safe mode before after using DDU, and it’s a real headache. Honestly, the shift and restart trick usually works for me to get into recovery and undo the safe boot setting, but sometimes I end up using a USB stick to boot to a command prompt if it gets really stubborn. Just gotta be careful with bcdedit; double-check the identifier so you don’t mess up the wrong partition.

This is something of the past now since a few version back. We should no longer be stuck in safe mode.anıl wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 10:06 am I've gotten stuck in safe mode before after using DDU, and it’s a real headache.
