How to preserve settings when updating the portable edition?

Post by Spartan »

Every time I download a new portable edition I have to launch DDU and reconfigure the settings. What file can I copy from the old folder to retain the settings but have DDU updated?

You can avoid the reconfiguration every time by ticking the option "Store config in roaming folder".

But to answer your question directly, its the Settings.xml file in the settings folder.

I was also wondering how to keep my settings when updating the portable edition. Thanks for clarifying that it’s the Settings.xml file and mentioning the roaming option as well.
