DDU not uninstalling Intel Driver & Support Assistant

Hi,

DDU is not uninstalling the Intel Driver & Support Assistant, which comes with the Intel graphics driver and helps keep the driver up to date. Could an option be added in DDU to remove the Intel Driver & Support Assistant?

DDU isn’t actually missing anything here — it only removes display drivers, not extra Intel tools. The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is a separate updater app with its own services and tasks, so DDU leaves it alone on purpose.

If you want it gone, the best way is still to uninstall IDSA manually from Windows Apps, then reboot. Trying to bundle it into DDU could be risky since IDSA also manages non-graphics Intel drivers.

Agree, and that is why if added, it will not be enabled by default.

Adding an option in DDU to remove the Intel Driver & Support Assistant would be very helpful, as it would allow a complete cleanup of Intel drivers and help prevent issues when reinstalling.

DDU is mainly focused on removing display drivers, not additional companion tools like Intel Driver & Support Assistant. For now, the safest way is to uninstall Intel DSA manually via Apps & Features (or Programs and Features) before or after running DDU.

Adding support for removing it directly in DDU could be convenient, but since DSA isn’t strictly part of the graphics driver, manual removal is probably why it’s not included.
