DDU running in Safe Mode locks Windows 11 login?

Hello,

I'm experiencing a rather annoying error when running DDU in Safe Mode to fix AMD Adrenaline (it freezes, won't open).

DDU recommends running in Safe Mode → I agree → the computer reboots.

When I get to the login screen, it shows:

“PIN currently unavailable. Click here to set up your PIN”

Clicking on it causes another error; I can't log in, it's like I'm locked right at the login screen.

Can anyone help me fix this?

Hi,
This was a known issue with Windows 24H2, it was described under the known issues for DDU. It's supposed to be fixed tho, so I guess your windows is not up to date ?

- (NOT A DDU ISSUE) With Windows 11 24H2, your PIN may not work in Safe Mode.
Make sure you know your password and also check the following setting:

Go to Settings → Accounts → Sign-in options
Under Additional settings, turn off "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device"

Important: You must use your password at least once in normal mode before it will work in Safe Mode.

If you are stuck into safe mode on this logon screen , follow theses steps that could get you out of safe mode.
