RTX 2070 Not Detected in BIOS / Device Manager

I’m having a strange issue with my RTX 2070. Over the past few months, my PC sometimes wouldn’t display anything on boot, and I had to switch display outputs multiple times before it worked.

Recently it got worse. After resetting CMOS, I was able to boot using integrated graphics, but the RTX 2070 is no longer detected anywhere—BIOS, Device Manager, and even DDU only show the iGPU. The GPU fans and lights still turn on.

I tried uninstalling drivers and reinstalling Nvidia software, but it now says no compatible hardware is found.

Does this sound like a dead GPU, or could it still be a BIOS/PCIe detection issue? Has anyone managed to recover a GPU in this state without replacement?

Hi,
Try the GPU in another slot (if you have one) or another computer. This will confirm if its your motherboard or the GPU that is the problem.
At the same time you remove your GPU, you can inspect the GPU slot connector to see if there is anything wrong.
