Wagnardsoft Tools (WTools) V1.0.8.3 Released.



Requirement:
-Windows 7* SP1+ *Note, some feature like DPC Latency won't work
* Windows 7 SP1 is supported with Extended Security Updates installed.

What is WTools:
- Clean unused Registry keys.
- Remove temporary Files from Windows, Current user and Browsers to free some space.
- Repair Windows corrupted system files.
- Enable / Disable MSI (Message Signaled Interrupts) for Nvidia cards pre RTX3xxx (will support all PCI device in future update)
- SSD Trimming with custom size.
- Opening a command prompt (CMD.exe) and REGEDIT with SYSTEM privilege for advance file / registry manipulation.
- and more.

Use at your own RISK.
WTools should not delete important Registry keys, Backup option is for extra safety.

Changelog:
- Fixed a bug that allowed a TRIM on a non NTFS drive.
- Added changelog when we manually check for updates.
- Added muti selection checkboxes for removing Appx.
- General fixes and improvements.


Known issues:
- Registry backup is not working.

I want to report the 'Unlock Edge uninstall' did not work for me on Windows 11. It has changed my Device setup region to France and I am still unable to uninstall Edge.

I now have concerns -

1. Will Wtools leaving my Device setup region as France cause problems in the future? Is it required that we should try to change back to US?

2. What do we do about this?

Did you reboot ? (It is necessary)

Leaving as France should not give you any problem. It is merely informational. (And it's actually what unlock it)

Yes sorry I should have added that information in my report. I have reboot several times, both as 'restart' and 'shut down'. It didn't work. Uninstall is still locked. I will also add that I did this with V1.0.8.2. I don't see any changes to unlock Edge uninstall in this 1.0.8.3 version changelog so I am assuming it is the same.

Try something, set the "Regional format" to "Recommended" and reboot. I think it will be unlocked after that.

Sometime it's a bit picky and may unlock after a few tries.

I solved it. I had previously disabled all Edge things with Autoruns program, and I had Edge connectivity blocked with Simplewall. I never use it.

I tried - re enable all autoruns for Edge to run at startup like normal - I allow Edge internet - (uninstall still greyed out at this step) - I update Edge and do the restart after the update - Now uninstall becomes unlocked.

Your method does work but in my case, having Edge disabled with Autoruns like tasks and services, broke it. I had to update Edge once online to get the unlock to register.

Thank you for quick assistance, your softwares, and I am sorry to have wasted your time. Now we know though, as someone else in future might run into this same issue if they disabled all Edge services with the program autoruns.

Btw if the France annoy you, here is how you can set it back to USA.
In the registry, while you are in the settings->Time & language->Language & region
go to : Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Control Panel\DeviceRegion
you will see a DeviceRegion with value 84
rename the DeviceRegion to seomthing else like "DeviceRegion2"

In the Language & region, go back to Time and language and back to Language & region (do this 2 time)
Normally USA should be back. and when so, in the registry, when you refresh, you will see the DeviceRegion came back. If so, you can remove DeviceRegion2
