I'm having an issue with DDU that I haven't been able to figure out, and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.
I'm using the latest version of DDU on Windows 11 Pro 24H2 with an RTX 4070 Super. Every time I launch the program as Administrator, it stays on the Creating System Restore Point message for around 5 to 10 minutes before the main window finally appears. During that time, the application doesn't seem to be frozen because Windows reports that it's still responding, but nothing else happens until it eventually continues.
Once DDU finishes loading, everything works normally. I can remove the graphics driver without any errors, so the delay only happens during startup.
I've already downloaded a fresh copy of DDU, restarted the computer several times, tried launching it in both Normal Mode and Safe Mode, temporarily disabled Windows Defender, and confirmed that System Protection is enabled for the system drive. None of those steps have changed the behavior.
I'm not sure if DDU is simply waiting for Windows to finish creating the restore point or if another Windows service could be causing the delay. Has anyone run into this before, and if so, did you find out what was causing it or how to fix it?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

DDU will wait at the message you see until the restore point is completely created.
You can disable the restore point creation in the DDU options if its a problem, but I recommend creating one yourself before using DDU just in case.
But just to be sure, you can zip me the log folder (located within the DDU folder) and send it to me at [email protected] and I'll give a look just to be sure every thing is ok.
