WiWindows 11 Keeps Reinstalling Old GPU Drivers After DDU

Post by MarilynGNauman »

Hi everyone! I used DDU to completely remove my GPU drivers, but Windows 11 keeps reinstalling an older driver automatically.

Has anyone experienced this issue, and is there a reliable way to stop Windows from reinstalling the old driver?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Check the DDU options, it has the option to help for that.
You can also disable your network connection until you reinstall the driver that you want and then enable the connection back. Windows update should then not reinstall the driver.

If the problem is that even after upgrading a driver to a recent version , windows update revert to an older one, you can with 1 of my other tools WTools, prevent that specific driver from reinstalling.
