Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) V17.0.8.1 Released.

Requirement:
-Windows XP up to Windows 10 Fall Creator update 1709 (16299.xx) (anything higher is at your own risk)
-NVIDIA, AMD, Intel GPUs
-Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 or higher

Recommended usage:
-You should disconnect your internet or block Windows Updates.
-DDU should be used when having a problem uninstalling / installing a driver or when switching GPU brand.
-DDU should not be used every time you install a new driver unless you know what you are doing.
-The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best.
-If you are using DDU in normal mode, Clean, reboot, clean again, reboot.
-Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe).
-It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues.

I've noticed that the readme.txt included in the archive is not up to date (not sure about the other .txt file).
Maybe you should just point a link to an appropriate thread in the forum so that you don't need to keep both places updated all the time?

is there only a "cache" folder?

I deleted the entire folder after using DDU to clear any remnants. IIRC, those were files with strange name all files were under a Megabyte. That totals to 20-30MB.
Got it. There are 2 folders Cache and QtWeb Engine. I suspect this has to do with the AMD radeon installer that updates the web engine to load new game images or something. While uninstalling the default AMD installer removed Qtweb Engine folder leaving behind Cache folder.

Qt web engine seems a new one, your the first talking about this one.
If you can check what exactly is generating this folder I'll add it.
For info, you motherboard and Cpu is Intel or AMD based?

Request for a future DDU version: include, if possible, an improved ability to toggle the (Windows 10) Windows Update Device Installation settings from "allow automatic driver installation" to "disallow". The specific problem relates to the Intel GPU driver getting re-installed, which I want to prevent happening. The standard default Microsoft driver that gets installed from a fresh Windows 10 installation is what works best in my situation, so therefore need to prevent Windows Update from always auto-downloading and installing the latest Intel GPU driver.

If doing a DDU cleanup, it automatically "disallow" it.
Please not that this "feature" doesn't prevent Windows Update from always auto-downloading. It prevent "device manager" seeking an updated driver on the internet.

Does that option only appear when using DDU in Safe Mode?
I did perform an Intel GPU "DDU cleanup" (not in Safe Mode), but DDU's clickable info-box that refers to the "auto-seek for updated drivers" function fails to prevent Windows Update from looking for, obtaining and installing the latest Intel GPU driver. Previous versions of Windows were much easier to "force disallow" updating any device drivers, but with Windows 10, it's much more difficult.
Note: the Win 10 version in question is a fresh install of the latest 64-bit "Insider" build: 17063, version 1709.
