Nvidia Drivers 417.35 won't work on my 970.
I have a new 970 that keeps having driver issues. I've done the DDU program 3 times already. I go into safe mode and activate the program and clean everything. Then I install the drivers I downloaded from Nvidia while still in safe mode and then restart the PC. Every single time I've done this the destop shows up blurry and jaggy and I can only remedy this by changing the resolution which the PC drops to 800x600. I restarted the computer but still kept getting blurry desktop and have to drop to 800x600. Device manager shows error code 43 every single time. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Does an older driver still work?cipher13 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 12:09 pm I have a new 970 that keeps having driver issues. I've done the DDU program 3 times already. I tried the 417.22 but it didn't work either or might I have to use an even older one?Wagnard wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 1:15 pmDoes an older driver still work?cipher13 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 12:09 pm I have a new 970 that keeps having driver issues. Are you able to install the original one you had before uninstalling it?

Yes the install went through for the 417.35. I've installed that and a 416 driver but I keep getting code 43.

Also to clarify I meant I installed each driver after a clean wipe with DDU. Not 2 at once.

Re: Nvidia Drivers 417.35 won't work on my 970.
I just tried wiping the drivers clean with DDU and this time I let windows install the drivers by going into device manager and making it seach in the nvidia folders. Windows installed the drivers but gave me a code 43 error after installing it. I have tried putting my 970 in the second PCI express slot and I still get code 43. At this point I'm starting to think it is the GPU that might be bad but I'm not sure. Maybe there is a solution for the Code 43 error.
