When I plugged the monitor cable into the APU, the screen would stay black after boot.
I guess because the GPU was still sitting in the PCIe.

Usually. There should be an option in the bios to select the default booting pci-e device.

I didn't dare to try that.
Anything useful in the logs?

Just wondering does this release support/work with the latest drivers? (Since the latest drivers 16.10.2 were released after this v17.0.2.1)

There were some errors deleting files but I do not worry about this as its probably because you have an APU.
I will try to get a system similar to you for testing.
Can you tell me what is the motherboard you have?

Yes it will work.
The only thing that could not work is if AMD added a new registry key or file.
I haven't had time to check because i'm moving. (but I will check soon if an update is needed for AMD

I used to uninstall Nvidia driver 373.06 to install 375.63 which was a desaster for me. (Win 10 64bit)
First i deinstalled everything as usual with DDU in safe mode. (never had a problem before) Afterwards i installed 375.63 which caused a hangup of the installing. It broke up after scanning system. Restarting the setup.exe of the driver itself worked but the driver is causing heavy failures like 3D Vision not working.
When installing the driver informed me that a driver 353.06 is installed. How can it be?
I deinstalled 375.63 with DDU and tried to instal 373.06 again which works but it still shows me when installing that a version number 353.06 ist installed.
Any clue?

It is strange, can you email me your DDU logs at
[email protected]
The log folder is located within the DDU folder.
