Chrome cookies deleted after using DDU in Safe Mode

Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) is a driver removal tool that can help you completely remove AMD (ATI), NVIDIA and Intel graphics drivers.

i got scared that maybe my chrome was hijacked so i reinstalled lol.

would love a good explanation
Seems to happen to some when using safemode with networking, my guess is that the system detect enough of changes to invalidate the current cookies.

Hi!

Just happened
I rebooted in safe mode with networking. (win11)
I left computer for a few minutes while DDU removed stuff. Came back to pc, it was restarted.
I installed new drivers.
Then i noticed all cookies are gone from chrome.
The cookie database file gets emptied

Just wanted to add, that I went into safe mode with networking myself, and I tried to open chrome, and then I close it.
I then reboot in normal mode ( NO DDU involved)
In normal mode I was logged out of everything.
So my conclusion it's something related to safe mode with networking and no direct link with DDU at all.

I believe you are right @Wagnard.

Sometimes, I've used the AMD Cleanup Utility first, followed by DDU (in Safe Mode & Restart). I know it's an overkill procedure. For a while, I thought DDU was deleting/invalidating the browser cookies (MS Edge, in my case), but then I discovered it was the AMD Cleanup Utility, since it uses Safe Mode with network access. When I only use DDU to uninstall the graphics driver in Safe Mode (without network access), my stored cookies always remain functional after using DDU.
