Device manager display adaptor changes after driver installation

Post by markkevin123 »

I have a toshiba satellite laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX. When I install the newest drivers (GeForce Release 179.48 for Notebooks), the entry under display adapters in the device manager changes to NVIDIA Quadro NVS 510M. I've attempted so far to uninstall the device, and reinstall the drivers, but the issue repeated. Any idea what's going on? I have a feeling it *is* affecting my ability to run some programs (recently released games).
